12 December 2007 - 16:13The Danger of Using PHP

Kids, don’t try this at home?!?!

“Topeka, KS - High school sophomore Brett Tyson was suspended today after teachers learned he may be using PHP.”

I understand the teachers outrage for this abuse, but come on, is it really that dangerous?

10 December 2007 - 23:21HTML 5

“The web is constantly evolving. New and innovative websites are being created every day, pushing the boundaries of HTML in every direction. HTML 4 has been around for nearly a decade now, and publishers seeking new techniques to provide enhanced functionality are being held back by the constraints of the language and browsers.” Source: A List Apart

A List Apart gives us a short preview of what we might expect in HTML 5. There are interesting changes and news regarding structuring of WEB-pages as well as some new tags, such as media like video and audio. Embedding video in WEB-pages has been a nightmare; Firefox have no issues, of course, and Opera has often the same result. But Internet Explorer 6 and 7 has always been difficult. Even embedding a Microsoft product, such as Windows Media Player, in IE is not easy.

Anyways, enough crap about Microsoft. I actually like Microsoft…

Take a look at the complete article A Preview of HTML 5.

KoRn - Untitled

On the latest KoRn album, Untitled, track no. 4 Evolution gives us a pretty funny look at the evolution of the human race. At least KoRn’s view on the issue.

Is this really where we are heading?

1 December 2007 - 16:15Entering the World Wide Web, once again…

After being off-line for too many months, haslebrekk.net is now, once again, back on track. Previous posts on the site was easily removed and deleted by intention. Hopefully, the content of the new web log will be a bit more interesting. Maybe not for everyone out there, but at least for myself.

If you find any posts interesting, or you just want to drop a comment, feel free to do so. I will be more than happy! A contact form will shortly be implemented and enabled.

For now, I have chosen to use the WordPress Theme Blue-Pix by Livetr.org, but this will be replaced by a home-made theme as soon as I get the time.

In addition, my experience (directly) with WordPress, and the use of, is not on a very high level, especially when it comes to user-defined tweeking, useful plug-ins and such, and thus, any help on this issue will gladly be excepted. Thanks in advance!

Please note that all posts are written in English, but comments in Norwegian will also be published.
